-was used to replace the old Curb where much worn ; about
800 lineal feet of Block Channel was redressed and refixed,
and 1,440 superficial feet of new York Stone laid. The area
of Carriageway relaid was about 660 superficial yards.
Adam's
Place.
The new Carriageway and the Footway Paving on the south
side of this street have now been laid. The Carriageway is
paved with dressed Aberdeen Pitching and the Footway with
new 3-in York Stone and new 6-in. x 12-in. Aberdeen Granite
Edge Curb. This street is now of uniform width of 25 feet
so far as regards the portion within the St. Saviour's District.
The Footway Paving, on the west side, between the London
and County and Joint Stock Banks having become much
worn, it has been taken up and Victoria Stone substituted.
The Curb was also redressed and reset.

High Street.
Charlotte
Street.
The Footway in Charlotte Street, on the north side, from
Blackfriars Road to William Street has been laid with new
Victoria Stone ; the Curb has also been jointed and reset.
This Street having been widened to the same width as Red
Cross Place and Adam's Place a new Carriageway and Footways
have been formed. The Carriageway is paved with
dressed Granite Pitching on 4-in. of Ballast, and the Footway
is formed with new 3-in. York Stone Paving and new
6in. x 12-in. Aberdeen Edge Curb.
George Yard
This Street having been widened and the Building line
considerably improved, the Carriageway has been repaved
with old Granite Pitching, and the Footways with new 3-in.
York Paving and new 6-in. x 12-in. Aberdeen Curb.
Falcon
Court.
The Crossings at the Junction of Southwark Street and
Southwark Bridge Road have been relaid, an area of about
.500 superficial yards.
So athwark
Street.
The Channels of Cross Street between Blackfriars Road
and Broad wall have been taken up and relaid. About 800
lineal feet of Block Channel has been refixed, and 260 superficial
yards of Pitching relaid.
