NEW VESTRY HALL.
On the 19th June, 1890, the Solicitors reported that at the hearing
of the motion for an interim injunction on the 6th inst., in the
suit of Delaparelle v. the Vestry, Mr. Justice Stirling dismissed the
motion with costs, that at Plaintiff's request this was treated as
applying to the action, the result being that the claim for damages
as well as the claim for injunction was dismissed with costs, and
the Solicitors further reported that the case indirectly disposed of
the claims of the Marquis of Salisbury and Messrs. Peto Bros.
The Deed of Covenant executed by Mr. W. S. Gilbert, of the
Garrick Theatre, to secure the payment of additional fire insurance
premiums upon the New Vestry Hall, was submitted to the Vestry on
the 14th August. 1890. On the 20th November, the tender of Mr. TT.
South, for laying electric wires for £205, and Messrs. Berry & Son's
tender of £140 for heating the building, were accepted.

On the 24th April, 1890, the Rt. Hon. Lord Kinnaird, Major
Prohyn and Mr. Lionel Charles Drummond were re-elected Commissioners.
The sanction of the Vestry was, on the 10th April, 1890, given to
the borrowing, by the Commissioners, of £15,000, in respect of the
purchase of the land and the erection of the building.
The building was opened by the Rt. Hon. W. E. Gladstone, M.P.,
on the 12th February, 1891, and on that day the Vestry passed a
vote of thanks to him for the honour conferred upon the parish.
THE VICAR (THE REV. J. F. KITTO, M.A.).
On the 9th October, 1890, a congratulatory letter was ordered to
be forwarded to the Vicar and Mrs. Kitto on their having celebrated
their Silver Wedding on the 3rd October, and at the same meeting
it was reported that at a meeting of members, held on the 25th
September, 1890, it had been determined to present a piece of plate
to Mrs. Kitto, and to request the Vicar to sit for his portrait, to be
