ADDITIONAL STAFF.
The Staff of this Department has been increased, in consequence
of the Vestry undertaking the Work of slop and dust collecting, the
paving and repair of streets, and the cleansing of and repairs to
sewers and gullies, hitherto performed by contractors, by the
appointment of Mr. Edward Gay as Foreman of General Works, and
Mr. James R. Thwaites as Surveyor's Clerk.
VESTRY'S WORKMEN.
The following is a list of the Vestry's permanent workmen:—

This does not represent the total number of men employed
upon the various works now being carried out by the Vestry, the
carters, &c., being supplied under contract.
