that is 34 less than in the previous year.

Of the above 511 deaths, 157 died in the Charing
Cross Hospital; of this latter number, 117 were nonresidents
in the Parish of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
This circumstance will therefore reduce the death-rate
in the Parish.
