MEDICAL OFFICER'S REPORT,
1874.
Annual Report on the Health of the Parish of St. Martin-in-theFields,
for the Tear 1874.
To the Vestry of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour of submitting to you my
fifth Annual Report on the health and sanitary
condition of the Parish of St. Martin-in-the-Fields.
Births.
The Births registered during the year 1874 were 480;
that is 52 less than the previous year. On looking
over the table of Births for the last ten years, I find
the year 1874 the lowest number registered; this is
due no doubt to the fact of so many parishioners having
suburban residences for their families.
