Medical Officers of Health, with the object of approaching
the Local Government Board on the subject of further
hospital accommodation being provided by the Metropolitan
Asylums Board for cases of fever, and this Vestry
appointed Mr. Bonthron and Mr. Winnett, with the Medical
Officer of Health, to represent them on the subject. The
conference was held 011 the 28th June, 1893, when the
following resolutions were passed :—
(1) That, in view of the urgent necessity of further provision
being made for the rapidly increasing number of persons
suffering from Infectious Disease, and the declared inability
of the Metropolitan Asylums Board to provide the
necessary accommodation, this conference do appoint a
deputation to wait upon the Local Government Board for
the purpose of urging them to facilitate the acquisition of
sites by the Metropolitan Asylums Board, or the provision
of suitable buildings.

2) That the deputation to wait upon the Local Government
Board do consist of three members from each sanitary
authority of the Metropolis.
(8) That copies of the resolutions be sent to the Local
Government Board, the Metropolitan Asylums Board, and
the sanitary authorities of the Metropolis.
In accordance with the foregoing resolutions the Vestry
appointed the same gentlemen as represented them at the
conference to join the deputation to the Local Government
Board.
