ELECTRIC LIGHT CONDUCTORS.
Electric Light Conductors have been laid in portious of
the following streets, viz.:—
By the St. James's and Pall Mall Electric Light Company:
Beak Street, Berwick Street, Brewer Street, Church
Place, Carnaby Street, Cleveland Row, Great Marlborough
Street, Great Pulteney Street, Glasshouse Street, Heddon
Street, Little Pulteney Street, and Wardour Street.
STREET NAMES.
Additional street names have been put up in Boyle
Street (2) and Marshall Street (2).
LICENCES
Have been granted for the erection of 81 hoardings and
scaffolds for the purposes of re-building, alterations, &c.
Licence has also been given in 37 cases to open the roadway
to repair water pipes, or for similar purposes. The cost of
making good these openings is charged to the persons taking
out the Licences.
COAL PLATES.
During the past twelve months 20 coal plates were cut
into the paving.
VIGO STREET.
The posts across Vigo Street preventing the passage of
vehicles from Regent Street to Burlington Gardens having
been removed by the London County Council, your Vestry
widened the carriage way to admit of a double line of traffic.
The roadway was paved with asphalte.
