Seven hundred and forty-seven openings have been made
by the Gas, Water, Electric Light, Hydraulic Power and
Telephone Companies, and the Post Office. The areas
disturbed being:—
Pitching 344¼ yards super.
Macadam 163½ do.
Wood 440 do.
Asphalte (carriageway) 526 do.
Asphalte (footway) 5 do.
Footway 18,093 feet super.
Kerb 99 feet run.
New York Stone 1,434¼ feet super.
Plug Boxes, &c. 21 let into pavement.
These surfaces were made good at the expense of the
Companies, the total amount chargeable to them for the
year being £1,029 16s. 0½d.
REPAIRS TO STREETS.
The cost of the General Repairs, &c., to streets, executed
by men in the employ of your Vestry, is as follows:—
