iron ventilating pipes were carried from the sewers up the
side of No. 22, St. James's Place and the fronts of No. 15,
Beak Street and Nos. 2 and 11, Golden Square, above the
roofs, and the old ventilators destroyed.
Several of the small subsidiary sewers running under the
vaults of the houses in Regent Street have been partially
blocked. In each case the stoppage was removed, and where
found necessary the old barrel drain destroyed and earthenware
pipes substituted.
The cost of repairing sewers, bricking up old disused
drains, new side entrance covers, manholes, &c., amounted to
the sum of £101 19s. 0½d. for the year.
GULLIES.
Twenty-nine gullies have been reconstructed at a cost
of £99 7s. 4½d. They are situate as follows :—
