from other Parishes than Saint James's, Westminster;
and, second, that it is situate in one district of the
Parish, and receives inmates from all three. It is
probable, though I have no data to prove it, that
the deaths in the Workhouse are greater from
Berwick Street than from the two other districts of
the Parish. In calculating the death rate of the
districts I have always distributed the deaths in the
Workhouse over the three districts equally.
The following table gives the deaths in the
Workhouse for the last ten years :
