The Parish of St. James’s, Westminster
Reverend Sib, My Lords, and Gentlemen,
I have the honour of laying before you, for the
thirteenth time, the annual tables of the records of
deaths in your Parish. In doing so I avail myself
of your permission to make some remarks upon
them, and also of pointing out the nature of the
Sanitary Work which has been performed under my
direction.
General Mortality in 1868.
In making up the Annual Report the first thing
to which attention is drawn is the amount of that
