Thus you will see that the average death rate of
the Parish has been reduced since the introduction
of the Metropolitan Management Act from 824 to
710. This is a highly favourable result, and one
that could hardly have been anticipated by the most
sanguine supporters of that great act of sanitary
legislation.
The next point of importance to which I would
allude as brought out by these Tables, is the age
at which people die. Connected with this is
another interesting point, and that is the time of
the year at which people die. In order to present
these points, I have summarised the facts from my
general Tables, in the following form :—
