Surveyor's Annual Report. 27
3rd.—The tests which have been applied fully bear out my state???t
as to the public lamps in this Parish not consuming 5 ft. per hour
contracted for, and I beg to call attention to the average meter
???em, which has been adopted and proved an undoubted success,
???resulted in a great saving in the cost of street lighting, and is in
???ration in the undermentioned Parishes, viz.: St. Pancras, St.
???rge, Hanover Square, and St. Mary, Lambeth.
I must call attention to the large saving effected by the adoption
the meter system as to water supply for road watering, recommendby
me, which since its adoption by the Vestry, has saved £200
???annum to the ratepayers.
The cost of installation of the average meter system for the
??? rish would be saved in less than 18 months, and the adoption of
??? system would, in my opinion, result in a saving to the Parish.
