The death rate various according to the seasons. This, there will be seen by Table No.
the fewest number of deaths were registered in the quarter ending June, and the
???est number in the quarter ending March. The proportion of deaths does not happen
early in the quarters. In the year 1875—6, the greatest number of deaths occurred in
quarter, in which, in the last year, the fewest were recorded, the one ending June.
however seems to have been exceptional. The quarter ending March is always marked
high death rate.
