Bull Head Dock and the Victoria Oil Mills.
It having been referred to the General Purposes Committee to inspect and report as to
the suitability of the above premises for the Vestry's requirements, and the Committee having
reported that in their opinion the said premises were unsuitable, it was on 4th April, 1893,
Resolved that the purchase thereof be not entertained, but on 18th April, 1893, Mr. G. D.
Read gave notice of motion as follows:—
" I beg to give notice that at the next meeting of the Vestry I shall move that the resolution
passed by the Vestry on the 4th inst, 'That the purchase of Bull Head Dock and the
Victoria Oil Mills be not entertained,' be rescinded and that the further consideration of
the matter be referred to a special evening meeting of the Vestry."

And at the General Meeting of the Vestry held on 2nd May, 1893,
Mr. Read moved in the terms of his notice and it being seconded by Mr. Chambers, was put
to tho meeting and carried.
Mr. Bisley having claimed a division, the same was taken with the following result:—

there being a greater number of members present by one-fifth than the number present at ths
meeting on the 4th ult., when the resolution was passed, the Chairman declared that Mr Read's
motion was carried, and it was accordingly
Resolved—That the resolution passed by the Vestry on the 4th April, 1893:— "That the
purchase of Bull Head Dock and the Victoria Oil Mills, be not entertained," be rescinded and
that the further consideration of the matter be referred to a special evening meeting of the Vestry.
