It will be observed that in order to make the year complete, I have taken the fourth
quarter of the year 1888-9—that is, from January 1st, 1889, to March 25th, 1889—and made
it the first quarter of the year. To me this appeared to be preferable to sending out what
would have been a mutilated statement of the Births and Deaths in the Parish.
