The footways Yeoman-street have heen flagged with York paving, under the provisions
ofthe 78 sec. of the 25th and 26th Vic. c. 102, and the cost apportioned in the following
manner:- Yeoman Street.

The carriageway, Deptford Old-road, at Elizabeth-place, lias been reformed to meet the
approach to the East London Railway Bridge ; the curbing of the said road to the boundary
of the parish beyond Midway-place has also been completed.
The bridges and approaches thereto, over the East London Railway at Deptford Lowerroad,
Westfield-terrace and Cross-street, having been upon inspection found to be properly
constructed, made up and paved the Vestry have taken the carriageways and footways
thereof under their control for future maintenance, cleansing, &c.
York paving has been laid on the West side of the Deptford Lower-road from the
" Prince of Orange" southward, to join the paving laid by the East London Railway Companv
on the approach to their bridge; the old York paving of the east footway near the China
Hall P.IL, has been reinstated with new, and a pitched crossing 5 feet wide formed in the
carriageway, from the corner of Bristol-terrace, across to the point where the Deptford-road
and the Deptford Old road intersect by the East London Railway Station.
The footway on the south side of the Plough-road between Deptford Lower-road and
the bridge, has been paved with York stone and the curb relaid; the footways, Plough-road,
northward of Plough-bridge, have also been paved and completed.
Plough Road Improvement.
The Vestry have affected an exchange of land with the Surrey Commercial Dock
Company on the east side of the Plough-road, and at the north-east corner of the approach to
Plough Bridge-road, for the improvement of the line of footways and carriageways at those
points, the Dock Company having agreed to pay to the Vestry the sum of £20 for the land
taken into the Dock premises, over and above the area thrown into the public way. The
carriageway of the east approach to Plough-bridge has been raised and altered, in order to
lessen the gr adient of the incline.
I carriageway ofthe north approach to the Lady Dock Bridge, Commercial Dock-road,
nas also been raised and improved, and York paving substituted for the old pitcher paving in
the east footway at that spot.
Paving Jobbing Works.
A Contract has been entered into with Mr. Lewis Etheridge, for the execution by him of
the paving jobbing works at a schedule of prices, in lieu of the same being done by paviors
masons employed by the Vestry as heretofore.
The carriage paving in the narrow way Rotherhithe-street, by Swan-lane, has been taken
up and relaid.

The following is a statement of applications made to the Vestry to drain houses and premises, and the results consequent thereupon:—
