The Sewer in the Manor Road having been completed by the Vestry of Bermondsey,
towards the cost of which this Vestry contributed £450, the house drains on the east side
of the road in this parish, are in course of being properly connected therewith, and the temporary
cesspools and drainage abolished.
Paving Works.
The following works have been done with new and old stone, from March 1866, to
March, 1867
New carriage-paving laid 124 tons.
Old carriage-paving relaid 1199 yards.
Channel laid 5418 feet run.
Carriage-paving redressed 391 yards super.
New kerb laid 11643 feet run.
Old kerb relaid 2413 „ „

Tram relaid 70 „ „
New York paving laid 35832 feet super.

Materials used in repairing roads:—
Guernsey Granite 2720 tons.

12,231 feet of kerb has been laid during the year, viz.:—3634 feet in Plough-road, 1289
feet in Lower York-street, 5738 in Rotherhithe New-road, 1468 feet in Manor-road, and
102 feet in Deptford Lower-road, and the cost thereof debited to the Paving Loan Account.
Commercial-street, Deptford-road, has been made up and the foot-ways kerbed and
flagged as far as William-street, the owners of the houses and the Vestry having contributed
towards the cost thereof as follows, viz.:—
