NINTH GENERAL REPORT
OF THE
Destny of the parish of Rotherhithe,
SURREY,
FOR THE YEAR ENDING 25th MARCH.
18 65.
During the past year the Vestry has held seventeen General and Special Meetings, and
twenty-five Committee Meetings.
Sewers Works.
The lengths of drains and sewers laid by the Vestry to Lady-day, are :—

Thirteen road-gulleys, fifteen gratings, thirty-nine drain mouths and junctions to sewers,
and one flushing shaft, have been formed.
Sixty-seven applications have been made to drain houses into sewers, including notices
of intended new building, and plans chocked and approved, comprising about 176 houses and
premises, 172 of which nave been drained and completed.
The drainage of 18 houses which was in progress or standing over on the 25th March,
1864, has since been carried out and completed, making the total number of houses drained,
190.
