Vestry would be liable. The new drain outlet from
No. 133a has been connected with the sewer in Porchester
Gardens at the owner's expense. A new drain
has been constructed from No. 133, and connected
with sewer in Queen's Road, at the cost of the Yestry,
and the drains from Nos. 135 and 137 at the expense
of Mr. Whiteley. The brickwork of old sewer, as far
as necessary, has been taken out, and the trenches
filled in with ground, hard core, and concrete, at the
Vestry's expense, inclusive of the cost of the new
drain connections, amounting to £125 9s. 7d. The
Vestry also refunded the sum of £6 10s. which had
been paid by Mr. Cole, the owner of No. 133a, Queen's
Road, to his builder for work done in removing a portion
of the old sewer, at the time of destroying the
defective drain of his premises.
Special Repairs to Old Sewers and Cost of Work
relative thereto.

The sewers in the undermentioned localities have been rendered more effective by their improvements, as regards inverts and quicker gradients, as recommended in my Reports to the Vestry.
