XXVII. Gates & Bars.
In January, 1892, a communication was addressed
to the London County Council requesting them to
include the following Grates and Bars in their proposed
Bill for the abolition of street obstructions in
the Metropolis :—
Kensington Gardens Square and Princes Square.
Norfolk Square by Cambridge Place.
Sussex Square.
Devonport Street by Sussex Place.
And in June, 1892, the following additions were
made to the list: —
Hyde Park Gardens by Sussex Square.
Craven Hill Gardens by Leinster Terrace.
Kensington Palace Gardens.
The slight opposition raised to the action of the
Vestry in this matter seems likely to be disarmed
by the paving of some ot the thoroughfares with
wood, the cost thereof to be divided between the
London County Council and the Parish. c2
