REPORT, 1890-91.
the Metropolis Act, 1855, was, pursuant to Section 3
of the said Act, divided into four Wards, And
whereas application has been made to the London
County Council, by certaiu Ratepayers of the said
Parish, to alter the number of Vestrymen assigned
to such Wards, And whereas upon an account taken
of the population by the Authority of Parliament, in
the year One thousand eight hundred and eightyone
the relative number of inhabited houses in the
several Wards of the said Parish are found to have
varied from those shown by the last previous census,
And wnEREAS the London County Council have taken
into consideration the said application, Now the
London County Council do hereby, by virtue of the
powers contained in Section 5 of the Metropolis
Management Act, 1855, and in Section 40 of the
Local Government Act, 1888, and of every other
power and authority enabling them in this behalf',
Resolve, Order, and Determine that the number of
the Vestrymen assigned to the several Wards of the
said Parish of Paddington be the numbers following,
that is to say:—

1 15 to remain as at present 15
2 30 instead of „ 24
3 15 instead of „ 18
4 12 instead of „ 15
