The ratio of births to the entire population of the
Parish was 1 to every 41 inhabitants, or 24.4 per
1,000 inhabitants of all ages.
In St. Mary's Sub-district the ratio of births to
the population was 1 to every 34 inhabitants, or 29.1
per 1,000 living.
In St. John's the ratio of births to population was
1 to 72, or 14.0 per 1,000 inhabitants.

Deaths.
The total number of deaths registered in Paddington
during the year was 2,326. Of this number, 280
were of non-parishioners who died in St. Mary's Hospital,
39 were of non-parishioners who died in the
Children's Hospital, and 3 were of non-parishioners
who died in the Lock Hospital, making a total of 322
non-parishioners who died in the parish.
Deducting these non-parishioners, it will be seen
that 2,004 parishioners died actually in Paddington.
