REPORT, 1888-9.
Carriageway Paving, New and Re-laid.
The paving of Bathurst Mews being in a very
defective condition, was taken up and re-laid with
re-dressed Aberdeen Granite Cubes, which were purchased
from Messrs. Nowell and Kobson at a reduced
price. The following return will give an account of
the extent of this class of work executed during the
year:—

Reinstating Roads and Footpaths after Companies, &c.
The reinstating of roads and footpaths after Gas
and Water Companies and Postal Authorities have
been unusually heavy this year, especially owing to
the Gas Light and Coke Company taking up several
miles of old mains, and replacing same with new pipes
of a larger diameter. The whole of these expenses,
amounting to £1,842 13s. 7d., have been repaid to
the Vestry.

The general repairs and renewals to flagged footways,
crossings, and channels throughout the Parish,
