In the public institutions in the parish there were 165
deaths, viz., 25 in the Workhouse, 29 in the Paddington Infirmary,
15 in the Children's Hospital, 2 in the Lock Hospital, and 94
in St. Mary's Hospital.
The 25 deaths in the Workhouse —10 males and 15 females—
and the 29 deaths in the Paddington Infirmary—22 males and
7 females—being regarded as those of parishioners, are included
in the 344 deaths in St. Mary's Sub-district. 1 of the deaths
in the Lock Hospital and 82 of those in St. Mary's Hospital
were of non-parishioners, and are therefore not dealt with
in this Report.
In extra-parochial hospitals and institutions, within the
Metropolis, there were 21 deaths of parishioners, as under: —
