These 20 deaths—14 of parishioners from St. Mary's Subdistrict,
and 6 of parishioners from St. John's—are included in
the total deaths (404), and throughout this Report are dealt with
in the same manner as if they had actually occurred in the
parish.

Of the 404 deaths, 123 were of Infants under 1 year of age,
1G4 of children under 5 years, and 62 of persons aged 65
years and upwards.
The rate of infantile mortality in Paddington was 172
deaths to 1,000 registered births. In London it was 230.
