In the public institutions in the parish there were 144
deaths, viz., 17 in the Workhouse, 34 in the Paddington Infirmary,
17 in the Children's Hospital, 1 in the Lock Hospital, and 75
in St. Mary's Hospital. The 17 deaths in the Workhouse and
the 34 deaths in the Paddington Infirmary being regarded as those
of parishioners, are included in the 301 deaths in St. Mary's
Sub-district. 64 of the deaths in St. Mary's Hospital were of
non-parishioners, as were also 11 of the deaths in the Children's
Hospital, and the one death in the Lock Hospital, and are
therefore not dealt with in this report.
In extra-parochial hospitals and institutions, within the
Metropolis, there were 9 deaths of parishioners, as under: —
