The corrected number of deaths in the parish from all
causes during the corresponding quarters of the years 18771885
was as under:—

In the public institutions in the parish there were 127
deaths, viz., 40 in the Workhouse, 13 in the Children's Hospital,
and 74 in St. Mary's Hospital. The 40 deaths in the
Workhouse—20 males and 20 females—being regarded as
those of parishioners, are included in the 346 deaths in St.
Mary's Sub-district; 57 of the deaths in St. Mary's Hospital
were of non-parishioners, as were also 9 of the deaths in the
Children's Hospital, and arc therefore not dealt with in this
report.
In extra-parochial hospitals and institutions within the
metropolis there were 23 deaths of parishioners, as under:—
