In the public institutions in the parish there were 120
deaths, viz., 43 in the Workhouse, 2 in the Lock Hospital,
and 75 in St. Mary's Hospital. The 43 deaths in the
Workhouse 23 males and 20 females being regarded
as those of parishioners, are included in the 412 deaths
registered in St. Mary's sub.district. Of the 75 deaths in
St. Mary's Hospital, 48 were those of non.parishioners,
as were also the 2 deaths in the Lock Hospital, and are
therefore not dealt with in this report.
