in the parish, the corrected number of deaths is seen to be
415—198 males and 217 females,—and the annual death rate
to be 14.3 per 1,000 inhabitants. In calculating the death
rate no account is taken of the deaths of parishioners in
places outside the parish; or, on the other hand, of the
deaths of non-parishioners in the parish, with the exception
of those who died in the two hospitals. The recorded natural
increase of population from the excess of births over deaths
was 239.
The number of births and of deaths, and the birth and
death rates in the two Sub-districts of the parish are shown
in the subjoined Table.
