hammers sharpened, besides miscellaneous repairs.
Road Sweepers.—Since the 3rd of December last,
the entire sweeping of the Parish Roads came under
this Department.
The accompanying tables, will furnish sundry
information and details of the year's proceedings in
the Works Department:—
Table A.—Account of expenditure and sales, &c.
in connection with the work of dusting,
slopping, watering, and carting materials,
including repairs and maintenance of water
meters, stand posts, and supply of water
for road making and watering purposes.
Table B.—Plant capital account.
„ C.—Return showing the weekly totals of the
number of horses employed, loads collected
and sent away by boats, tonnage, wages
paid, expenses of haulage, canal dues, &c.,
and daily record of the weather.
,, D. —Road Sweeping account from December
3rd, 1880—the date this work was handed
over to this Department.
