an average cost of £80 each; besides stable buildings,
machinery, &c., and sundry details, which will be
found in Table B.
Horses.—The horses generally are all in excellent
health and condition. The actual loss during the year
has been three only, viz.:—
1 from pricked foot.
1 „ cankered „
1 „ internal hemorrhage.
At the termination of the watering season in
November last, nine horses were sold, it being deemed
more advantageous to weed out the old stock than to
keep all the horses until the spring.
Fodder.—Advertisements have been issued three
times during the year for the supply of Fodder, and
the average cost per horse for keep and bedding has
been about 19s. 9.59d. per week.
