REPORT
TO THE VESTRY OF PADDINGTON.
Vestry Hall;
30th June, 1870.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit to you
the usual Annual Statements of Works executed, and
the chief business transacted in the Paving, Lighting
and Sewers Departments, during the year ending
Lady-day, 1870:—
Paving.
The Footways in various Streets, exceeding one
mile, have been re-paved and widened, and otherwise
greatly improved.
The Carriageways fronting Stables and Coach-houses
in two Mews have been re-paved with squared stones,
and rendered more convenient for the Occupiers and
the Public.
The Water Channels in several Streets have been
improved by paving them with squared granite.
