ROAD WATERING.
A new agreement was entered into with the Lambeth Water
Company for the supply of water for road watering, sewer
flushing, &c. The Board is now to pay £35 per mile for roads
watered from the Rock Hill Reservoir, £30 per mile for those
watered from Selhurst Reservoir, and £25 for the remainder of
the roads which are served from the Norwood Reservoir; this is
a reduction of £5 per mile for the Rock Hill and Norwood services.
125,000 gallons of water for flushing purposes is given
free for every mile of road water. This new arrangement will
save the Board about £100 per annum.
