(Signed) R. H. HARLAND,
26th June, 1889. Public Analyst.
(6) That your Committee at a former meeting resolved to
recommend—That a public retiring place be constructed below
the road in the centre of the new road Harford Street, to
contain four water-closets and nine urinals, and that a person
be put in charge of the same, the estimated cost being £1,200.
(7) That your Committee inspected the sewer in Copley Street
in various places, and found the pipes to be half socket pipes
in most cases, and these make defective joints.
Your Committee therefore resolved to recommend—That
new pipes be substituted for the defective ones in Copley
Street sewer, the estimated cost being £195 under the Jobbing
Sewers' contract.
