(5) That Mr. Cox the Inspector under the Adulteration Acts
submitted the Quarterly Report as follows :
I beg to inform you that during the last quarter I
submitted to your Analyst
23 samples of Milk
1 sample „ Butter
1 „ „ Coffee
1 „ „ Pepper
which were taken in the following Wards
North Ward 3
South „ 6
East „ 2
West „ 5
Centre „ 10—Total 26.
That summonses were taken out in six cases, with the
result that convictions were obtained in the whole of the
cases, and persons fined in the following sums respectively:
1 os.; £3; £1 10s.; £1; £1; and £1.
That your Clerk submitted the Quarterly Report of your
Analyst as follows:
Sale of Food and Drugs' Act, 1875.
Report of the Public Analyst appointed for the Hamlet
of Mile End Old Town upon the articles analysed by him
under the above Act, during the quarter ending the 24th
June, 1889.
