Watering.
During the summer season the water carts were employed
on 174 days and cost the sum of 429l, l1s. 11d.
for horses and men; and the sum 255l. 19s. 6cd. for
6,266,000 gallons of water supplied by the East London
Water Works Company.
Lighting.
The lighting of the Hamlet is still continued by the
Commercial Gas Company, who light 662 lamps at a
cost to the Vestry of 2908l. 1s. 7d
No complaint has originated during the year, either
of the quality or of the illuminating power of the gas
supplied.
Sewers.
This important branch of your duties has had special
attention during the past year, sewers having been laid
down in York Street. Gloucester Street, and Bedford Street.

The quantities of each description of sewer will be seen by the following Table.
