Advertisements were inserted in the usual papers
inviting Tenders, and Messrs. Balaam's Tender for £24,073
was accepted subject to their giving substantial Sureties for
the due execution of the work.
Messrs. Balaam submitted Sureties, which were
approved by the Commissioners, and they entered into a
Contract with them for the performance of the work at the
said sum of £24,073.
The Commissioners are now glad to report that the
works are proceeding in a satisfactory manner, and will be
opened for public use early next spring.
All of which is submitted.
