umber of lamps as will be seen in the table below, besidesmany
removals in the positions of the existing lamps, reducing
the distances between the same and substituting improved
lanterns, much benefitting localities so dealt with.

In addition to the ordinary lamps the following ornamental
and central lamps are lighted by the South Metropolitan
Gas Company:—
1 at Peckham rye, west side, at junction with Barry
road.
1 at Goose green, at junction of roads, next Lordship
lane.
1 at Knatchbull road, opposite Flodden road,
1 at Lordship lane, opposite Dulwicli Common road.
And also ten special lamps of various power, viz:
1 obelisk at Camberwell green Urinal.
1 „ at Hill street Urinal.
