parties interested in this important improvement, with a view
of supplying the necessary particulars and details to the
Metropolitan Board of Works, who have undertaken to
procure Parliamentary powers to carry out the work, and
have offered to subscribe liberally towards the cost thereof.
Victoria Road, east side (Peckham.) This Road
(and the footway set back and repaved) has been widened
fronting Mr. Austin's property for a length of 147 feet from
the crossing of Choumert Road, running northward towards
Chadwick Road.
Southampton Street, N.E. side, from Rainbow
Street to Coleman Road has been widened by arrangement
with the owner, Mr. Daniel Cronin, and the footpath so
widened has been tar-paved.
Villa Street has been widened on the north side
from Albany Road to Parish boundary and tar-paved.
Lordship Lane on the west side from Townley Road
to about opposite Barry Road, a length of about 630 yards
has also been widened about seven yards.
Toulon Street, Wyndham Road, opposite premises,
Nos. 17 to 37.
The following footpaths have been diverted by order
of the Magistrates in favor of more commodious thoroughfares,
namely:—the footpath called Cut Throat Lane,
from Grove Hill Road to Ivanhoe Road, and from Ivanhoe
Road to Choumert Road, the first portion substituted by
Grove Hill Road, and the latter bv Choumert Road.
