2,GOO Notices were also prepared and sent by him to the
Occupiers of Houses in the above Lists.
The Committee received, and heard, objections to the
Assessments comprised in the several Lists and satisfactorily
adjudicated upon them, there being no Appeals from their
decisions to the Assessment Sessions.
In addition to the above, the Valuation (Metropolis) Act, 1869, provides that the Valuation List shall be revised every five years, and last year (1885) being the fifth year, the Churchwardens and Overseers performed this laborious task, and deposited with the Committee the Valuation List of the Parish for 1885, contained in eleven books [twenty-two books in duplicate] comprising the following Assessments:—
