It will be seen that this scheme provides for
No. 6 (Camberwell and Dulwich Ward), constituting
an Electoral Division, although the population of
1881 was only 43,026, but which has now risen to
60,192, and will probably continue to increase, in
the same proportion, in years to come—while the
rate of increase will be very much greater if a season
of commercial prosperity set in, as that would immediately
cause hundreds of empty houses to be occupied,
and further building to be commenced with
activity.
