to commence at or near the Cab Shelter and Cab
Stand, on the West side of Denmark Hill, adjacent to
Camberwell New Road, going Southward along
Denmark Hill to Cold Harbour Lane (where it leaves
this Parish), and then continues in the Parish of
Lambeth along Cold Harbour Lane, crossing the
Brixton Road, along Acre Lane and Clapham.
Park Road, terminating in High Street, Clapham.
This line of Tramway (as in that referred to at
Rye Lane, Peckham) will have a Block termination,
very near to the junction of several Public Roads,
viz.:—those of Denmark Hill, Church Street, the
High Road on the West side of Ca?nberwell Green,
and the Camberwell New Road. All these are
roads of very considerable traffic, and the fact of Two
sets of Cars, working under different Companies
meeting at this spot, one of them making it a
permanent terminus, will in my opinion seriously
interfere with the Public traffic, and also the
convenience of the Frontagers having Shops on the
West side of Denmark Hill. For this reason, as in
the previous case urged, I think any Tramway at
this spot should be made continuous, and to connect
with the existing Tramways at this place.
