It will be obvious that after allowing 7 feet for
the width of the Tramway, including 12 inches on
each side thereof for the overhanging of the Cars,
that at a very crucial point, viz:—Hanover Chapel,
there would be left on each side a standing or
passing space for the General and Residential
Traffic of not more than 7 feet 3 inches; from this
point up to about opposite Atwell Road and
Choumert Road, there would be on each side of the
Tramway about 9 feet, but south of this point in the
narrowest part, where the Roadway at present is
