REPORT of the AUDITORS to the VESTRY,
Respecting the Accounts for the Year ending March 25, 1881.
Vestry Hall, Camberwell,
August 2nd, 1881.
Gentlemen,
In submitting our Report for the year ending
25th March, 1881, we find the Rate Books and
Accounts correct, well kept and in order, and have
accordingly allowed and certified them.
The Accounts surcharged at our last Audit have
now been placed before us, certified by the Special
Committee, we have therefore allowed them.
The defalcations alluded to in our last Report
are in the course of repayment by the Sureties, a
balance of £38 Os. 6d. being still due to the Vestry.
The serious attention of the Vestry and Ratepayers
is hereby directed to the constantly increasing
amount of the School Hoard Precept.
Attention is also directed to the large number
of houses returned as empty. The amount of loss
