Watering and Slopping. This incidental work is estimated
at £2,000, thereby reducing the total cost to
£7,466, or about £118 per mile, resulting in an actual
saving of £2,000.
METROPOLITAN STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
The above Improvements under the Act of 1877,
will, it is hoped, shortly be in active progress,
The Metropolitan Board of Works are negotiating
with the owners of property, and in some instances
have obtained possession; in all probability in another
season progress will be made in this important work.
LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS.
The following Improvements have been carried
out bv the Vestrv:—
Lordship Lane, by Dawson's Brickfield—Ground
dedicated to Vestry and Road widened.
