any, Metropolitan parishes have increased in an
equal degree. The following table shows the population
of the parish, as ascertained at each census
since the first in 1801, together with the increase
of population, and the increase per cent. for each decennial period.

It will be seen from it that the actual increase during the last decenniad was far larger than that in any previous similar period, and that the rateof increase was nearly as high as it ever has been:—
