The Future
The question of extending the selective examination of 7 year old school
children to schools not at present included in the scheme is being considered.
The planned establishment of new special day schools in the borough (for
the partially sighted, the educationally subnormal and possibly for the maladjusted
pupil) opens up the prospect of further increasing the scope and interest
of school health work for those engaged in it locally.''
