The inspection of the 1,591 premises in the Borough, at which
trading in food is carried on, has proceeded satisfactorily although
until such time as the staff of inspectors is adequate it will be
extremely difficult to carry out the detailed and repeated inspections
necessary. However, in the section of this report dealing with food
premises will be found full details of the types of food businesses,
the number of notices served and the various forms of defects found
upon inspection.
