TUBERCULOSIS.
During the year under review 221 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis
and 29 cases of non-pulmonary tuberculosis were notified
for the first time under the Public Health (Tuberculosis) Regulations,
1930.
From the following table it will be seen that the number of cases of
tuberculosis notified in Hackney declined fairly steadily
from 1920 until 1941, when war-time circumstances commenced to
affect the Borough's tuberculosis case rate:—
